Teriyaki sausage bento!

Today we have bentos with 3 of my husbands most loved foods.

Sausages, teriyaki sauce & sesame seeds.

Suffice to say he loved it!

For anyone who isn’t keen on sesame seeds, try dry frying them yourself until browned, the flavour just bursts out of them! Beautiful.

This would stand up well to being eaten cold in a few hours time, the rice goes so well with the teriyaki sauce and sesame.

If you could have just four of your favourite foods in a bento what would they be?

  1. Dear Pepper Bento,

Thank you for visiting my blog! Love your blog! The bentos are very interesting and pretty. I am still new to wordpress. I haven’t figured out how I can follow your blog. But I would like to. Enjoyed looking at your yummy bentos.

    • Dear Eloise,

Thank you for the lovely comment =) and for taking the time to stop by.
You did manage to follow me so I hope I’ll be speaking to you again =D.

I’m glad you enjoy my bento boxes ^__^.

  2. This looks delish – do you have a recipe to make the sauce or just a favorite store brand? I’ve never heard of dry frying sesame seeds. I like them so much I just pour some in my hand and eat ’em straight, but now I have something new to try πŸ™‚

    • I do use a recipe for the Teriyaki sauce, it’s so easy and cheap to make I’d never buy a store brought one!
For some reason the pre made sauces always have unneeded ingredients like garlic in them too so I’ve never tried one.

Ooo, do try them fried, you wouldn’t believe they’re the same thing by the taste!
(Though maybe that’s not such a good thing since you like them so much? Hehe.)

  3. Just four of your favourite foods in a bento?……Mmmm tough one that, Sweet Potato, Venison, Pasta…er… English Ale (does that count lol) could be worked in there somehow

  4. Mmmm Sausages! i like them, they dont like me lol,
Yeah sesame seeds are great fry’d, unless you burn them like i tend to do πŸ˜›

Sausage Dog Bento Next, lol πŸ˜€

  5. California Maki + Stir-fried veggies (bean sprouts, carrots, cabbage, corn among others) + Beef w/ mushroom + either our local rice porridge w/ meat OR cream of corn/mushroom β™₯

      • A bit. Cause I was thinking how I’m gonna carry it without spilling anything XD

As long as I have soup, veggies, meat and california maki, I’m good πŸ™‚
