Today I’ll be showing you how to freeze rice.
This is amazingly easy for bento in the morning or to whip up just before you serve a meal.
Usually I cook all of my rice in a saucepan but just because of the sheer amount I like to freeze ahead I use a rice cooker for this method.
This tutorial starts off at the stage where your rice has just finished cooking which requires no learning at all if you’re using a rice cooker.
This is THE tutorial that makes Japanese cooking so simple for me.
Before I did this I spent a couple of hours a day just cooking rice for 2.
