Rangamati Wolverhampton Review

For the past week or so I have been craving Chicken Tikka Masala.

I considered making my own but I needed to buy too many ingredients and none of the recipes I found seemed quite right.

The only solution then, is to go to somewhere that knows what they’re doing!

The only indian takeway I had been to has changed names and under the last name started lacking quality so my husband took a leap of faith and called one of his old favourites hoping
A.) That they would deliver
and
B.) That they were as good as they used to be.

Thankfully both were right!

Here is part of our order, we ordered

1 portion Onion Bhaji (5 small)
2 Chicken Tikka Masala
1 portion Pilau Rice
2 plain Naan Bread
and we received 5 complimentary poppadoms, 2 mint sauces and 2 salads.

It came to about £20 all in all, though we are not sure on individual prices as we didn’t get the menu we asked for.

As you can see the curry’s are more than generous portions.
The chicken tikka we had was absolutely scrumptious too.
It had generous chunks of chicken, plenty of sauce, very good.

The Onion Bhaji was not as good as it could have been as in some of them there was still uncooked onion.

The pilau rice was fragrant with subtle but fabulous flavour, it was fluffy and moist.
I would say it was perfectly done, none seemed over cooked or undercooked.

The naan bread seemed freshly cooked and had a lovely buttery flavour (probably ghee).
It does get stale quickly though so it’s best enjoyed warm along with the poppadoms.

All in all the food was excellent.

The phone service was great with a polite order taker and though they said they may be late due to their car breaking down, were here in 40 minutes when their aim is to be there to deliver for 45 minutes!

The prices, considering the Rangamati is also a classy sit in restaurant were very good.

5 out of 5!
